Honey was probably the first sweetener known to Man. For thousands of years, honey has been served as a natural remedy for many ailments. Ancient civilizations used raw honey for its role in preventing diseases. Its highly nutritional substances have also been widely used in folk medicine for a number of therapeutic purposes.

Our wild honey (not from a bee farm), also known as taulang honey, is from rock bees that collect pollen and nectar from various wild flowers in Malaysia's jungles. The beehives are found on the branches of taulang trees, which can grow up to 250 feet in height. Collected by workers risking their lives climbing on very high tualang trees, The Giant Honey Bees (Apis dorsata) hang their honey combs from the branches of the Tualang Tree (Koompassia excelsa) to collect pollen and nectar from the surrounding rainforest. It is therefore 100% organic honey straight from the rainforest. We do not add any preservatives which is unnecessary for bee honey.

Honey harvested from Tualang trees differs in colours and tastes, depending on the region where the bees collect the pollen and nectar from. The taste of Dark Honey or Royal Black Honey is somewhat different from ordinary yellow honey as it has a mild bitter-sweet taste. Red honey tastes “round” and sweet, Yellow Tualang honey is slightly sweet-sour while our White Jelly Honey tastes more flowery.

Honey is primarily composed of glucose, fructose, and other sugars. It also contains more than 180 substances including acids, enzymes, minerals and vitamins. Our wild honey/taulang honey is 100% raw and pure. It is rich in live enzymes which are essential for our body system to function well.
